MIND OF CHRIST

Intimacy:

To me real intimacy is the ability to understand someone without them having to utter a single word. God honored this principle so much that He sent His Glorious Son to walk in our shoes.

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize (understand) with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.”Heb 4:15

He became one with me. He pursued me relentlessly as if I were a prized possession.Finney Araya
Jesus Christ became one with me so He can understand me. In my best days & worst days, in my busy days & stressful days, He understands me. He is intimate with me. He knows my every thought be it good, bad, selfish, or overwhelmed. He has seen me laugh, cry, in joy and pain. He didn’t read about me or ask someone about me. He became one with me. He pursued me relentlessly as if I were a prized possession. In His Holiness and righteous ways, He didn’t look down on me. In His truth, all my lies didn’t push Him away. In His light, all my darkness didn’t deter Him. In His forgiveness, all my vengefulness was no match for Him. In His single mindedness, all my flip flopping didn’t sway Him.

Jesus Christ is that infinite power of fulfillment no matter how messed up we are. He stands near us as strong as can be and yet as gentle as He only can be and says “give me what you got!”. Are you sick? Give it to me. Are you depressed? Give it to me. Are you hurt? Give it to me. Are you alone? Give it to me. Are you guilty? Please give it to me & I will take it all without a single condemnation and not only that, I will bless you for it.

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”2 Corinthians 12:9(NKJV)

Perfection to God is not human effort, it’s the opposite. It’s a broken heart that is after Him, it’s a bent knee that reaches out to Him.

Jesus Christ was 30 yrs. old before He began His output or ministry. What was He doing that whole time? He was being a son to Mary and Joseph by fulfilling His duty as part of a family. He was also a carpenter by profession so I am sure he had to deal with deadlines and difficult customers. He was working & toiling just like us. His life represented His true character and His identity was complete in who God made Him to be.

He was the most secure man whoever walked this Earth. He is the only man who has never been deceived by the devil. He is so secure, He decided to follow John the Baptist & get baptized. He is so secure, He let the whole world see Him in anguish crying

“Father, if You are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from Me. Yet I want Your will to be done, not Mine.”Luke 22:42

Q. Who does that? When was the last time you cried in front of someone over how vulnerable you are when you have the power to respond another way? Isn’t He the King of Kings? He doesn’t have an ounce of pride in Him.

Are we ready to be intimate with Him? The bible says “we have the mind of Christ!” That’s such a relief because there is no way, no way we can ever think that way.
We have however been given an opportunity to think that way & change the world. We have all the tools. Harvest is plenty but the laborers are few says the same bible. Before we can act though, are we willing to let Jesus install His mind in us?
